   These 7" X  9" postcards are part of a set of probably 10 or 12 printed by the Jumbo Post-Card Co. for the J. Louis Motz News Co. 659 E. 6th Street, Cincinnati. The last image shows the back of one.

   This 7" X 9" card of a game played  6/8/40 at Crosley Field is probably one of a set showing each ball park that was used in 1940, although this is nothing but a guess.

   Finally we come to the granddaddy of all postcards. This giant 9"  X  12" card of the Delta Queen is bigger than my scanner, as a consequence the image is actually cropped. It was produced in 1962. The last card is a regular sized postcard

 

DETACHABLE  POSTCARDS

   These booklets contained regular postcards that could be removed and mailed in the normal manner. It was no doubt cheaper to buy these booklets instead of one at a time.

This U.C. postcard is a real Jig-Saw puzzle. It is 3 1/2 x 5 1/2.
The 2nd image shows more detail.

 

The card below had to be cut apart with scissors. The back gives instructions on what to do.

Homemade  Postcards

   This person took the labels from Burger Brau beer and pasted them to a postal card in 1946.

   This is a very well done hand painted Easter postcard A professional looking stamped postcard emblem on back. Could these blank cards have been bought in a store?

   This card is in the shape of Ohio and is made from Cincinnati pre-cancelled stamps.

 

NOVELTY  MAILBAG


You can not expand this item.

   This 2 1/2"  X  4"  novelty mailbag could be mailed by using the attached card in the lower right.  On the other side is a place for the address and a stamp. A 1 1/2 cent stamp was required. The 4 pictures shown were in the bag. I do not believe there were any more when produced..
