   The sister boats Mississippi Queen and the Delta Queen were the only two steamboats with overnight passenger service in the nation. With the docking of the Delta Queen there is only one. See Steamboat section for further information.

   Painting by William Reed of the side-wheeler Buckeye State. It ran between Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. In its 1st season in 1850 it ran this distance upstream in 43 hours, the fastest it has ever been run.
