Wesleyan M.E. Church  East Fifth Street                                                Not a postcard

Wesley Chapel was dedicated Christmas 1831. Being larger than any other building at that time, many events were held there. President William Henry Harrison's funeral and President John Quincy Adams last public address were held there. In December 1968 Procter & Gamble bought the chapel and announced plans to tear it down. There followed 4 years of court battles by various citizen groups to preserve the chapel as a historic monument. In February 1972 the wrecking ball leveled the old structure to make room for P&Gs corporate headquarters. Wesley Chapel was rebuilt in Over-The-Rhine, as seen in the 3rd image above, it is located at the corner of Lang & McMicken Sts.
